Why does the Music Licensing Opportunity I submitted songs to say "No Broadjam Artists Selected"?

It's frustrating when a song doesn't get selected by a Music Licensing Opportunity Provider. There's a lot of reasons. First, there might not have been very many submissions, so there wasn't a lot to pick from. Second, maybe the songs didn't fit the right genre they were looking for. Third, broadcast quality is important in submissions to catalogs, video editors, radio program directors, and music supervisors because they don't have the budget to re-record the song. So, a broadcast quality sound recording is important for those Opportunities. We share revenue with the Music Licensing Opportunity Providers to guarantee that every song gets listened to and we pay a larger share of that fee for selecting Broadjam songs to make it in their best interests to select a track from a Broadjam member. 

 

If a Provider doesn't select a track on multiple Opportunities, we usually take a look to see what's going on. If they continually don't select songs, then we ask them to move on because maybe Broadjam members don't have the kind of music they're looking for. If you have a specific question on an Opportunity, we will take a look and even ask the Provider if he or she has any more details on why that particular batch wasn't right for them. So we do keep track of these things.
